Independent by design

Our recommendations come from a fixed formula applied to your answers. Nobody — including us — can move a tool up the ranking by paying for it or by offering a higher commission.

How we make money

Some buttons (“Try …”) lead to partner links, also called affiliate links. If you subscribe to the tool through one of them, the tool may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra.

Not every tool has a partner program. When we have no partner link, the button simply leads to the official website and we earn nothing. Links are marked “sponsored” for search engines.

How the score works

Your result is scored out of 100: use case (25 points), budget (20), priorities (30), experience level (10) and requirements (15). Only the questions you answered count, and the total is scaled to 100.

The scoring engine only reads the tool's attributes (category, price tier, ratings per priority, level, constraints). It has no access to affiliate links or commission rates, and automated tests check this. Ties are broken by community rating, then alphabetically.

Where our data comes from

Tool information comes from the tools' official websites and public community ratings. Prices and features change often: we show a reminder on each page, and you should confirm on the official site before subscribing.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data and we do not require an account. Our click counter records which button was used and on which page, but no IP address and no cookie. Audience measurement (Google Analytics) only loads if you accept cookies.

We do not write fake reviews and we do not accept payment to change a score.
